Meet the Family!
Depending on what day you stop in, you might see one or all of us at the woodlot.
From left to right:

Andrea is 20 and works in the sales department of our firewood lot. She loves to play the mandolin and has started her own photography business (AZ Fam Photography). She is pursuing an online degree in digital and web design at Grand Canyon University.

Kaitlyn is 23 and specializes in customer service. In addition to firewood, she is also the director of two choirs in SCW and is working on earning her master's degree in choral conducting at Messiah University.

Jacob is 19 and loves anything mechanical. He can usually be found refilling the bigger amounts of wood with the golf cart or four-wheeler. He graduated from high school this year and is pursuing an online degree in mechanical engineering at ASU.

Kevin oversees the needs of the business. He personally designed our wheelbarrows to standardize measurement in each one, and regularly evaluates quality control.

Cindy is the face of the business and is usually found at the woodlot helping customers or providing support for the crew. She and Kevin will be celebrating their 28th wedding anniversary this year!

Alyssa is 14 and the baby of the family. She loves puppies, yodeling, and playing the banjo. You can usually find her helping customers, stacking wheelbarrows, or baking with her Mema.
Meet the Grandparents!
Amos and Jean (Pappy & Mema), are the original owners of the woodlot. They moved out from Pennsylvania in the late 1960's because of Jean's health. She had rheumatoid arthritis, the doctor recommended a warm, dry climate for her. Phoenix seemed to be the right fit. In addition to driving truck and selling real estate, Amos cut wood during the summer to sell during the winter months. He started selling the extra wood he cut in the winter of 1975.

Our Story
"This is a multi-generational woodlot. Soon after my parents moved here from PA, my dad started cutting wood for our own use and we sold the extra to provide income for the family. By working at the woodlot I helped put myself through college debt-free. When my husband and I got married and started our own family, I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom, and so I started working at the woodlot again. Eventually, I took over as business owner."-Cindy
